PARK(ing) Day Calgary 2019

PARK(ing) Day is an annual open-source global event where citizens, artists and designers collaborate to temporarily transform metered parking spaces into “PARK(ing)” spaces – temporary public spaces. The project aims to encourage critical thought and to spark our imaginations about how public spaces can be used.

We invite you to join us on September 20, 2019 for Calgary’s fourth annual PARK(ing) Day.

What is PARK(ing) Day?

Taking place in Kensington, along Kensington Road N.W. and Kensington Crescent N.W., from noon to 6 p.m., the event involves the temporary closure of several parking spots, all of which will be remodeled into interactive exhibits that you can explore at your leisure.

We encourage everyone to visit these temporarily reinvented spaces and see the variety of innovative ways that Calgary’s urban spaces are used

Location

Kensington Road N.W. and Kensington Crescent N.W.
