Representatives from Arcadis and Melcor will be on site to walk through the project's history, design, and completion. Following the tour, the AALA will provide BBQ fare, non-alcoholic beverages, and time to enjoy the waterfront and beach area.

About the Project:
The project was a collaboration between consultants, contractors and suppliers that worked together to create a one-of-a-kind, high quality finished product that is currently in high demand. Constructing a man-made lake in a new community presented a unique set of challenges and opportunities that resulted in a high value amenity to the residents of Jensen Lakes. The products, materials, and plants were meticulously selected to enhance the overall design and complement the neighbourhood theme. Phase 1 of the beach design included construction of the maintenance building for maintenance and support staff, a boardwalk, fishing pier with lookout, boat launch, sand beach, lounging decks, covered and open picnic sites with BBQs. It is also equipped for use all winter long with a flooded grass rink, skating and ice fishing on the lake, complete with Zamboni storage in the maintenance building. Phase 2, currently under construction, will complete the site with the community Club House including large rear deck overlooking the lake, sport court with tennis and pickle ball facilities, and parking lot expansion.
