Mike Magill, LAT, CID, CLIA, CLWM, IA Trained Irrigation Instructor, AWWA Cross-Connection Specialist -- General Manager / Senior Project Manager

Mike has been employed by Ion Irrigation Management Inc. since 2004, during which time Mike has been involved in all aspects of the business from drafting to management. Most recently Mike was promoted to General Manager of the firm after the passing of its founder. Mike is still involved in the irrigation design process as a mentor, technical advisor, and Project Manager.

Over the years Mike has attained several diplomas ranging from an Interprovincial Registered Heavy-Duty Mechanic and Certified Vehicle Inspector (BC & AB) to Landscape Architectural Technology. Over the last 15 years Mike has also attended several Irrigation Association certified training programs (which are not listed above).

Mike is the primary designer of the RinkWater Service specifically designed to provide a water service for flooding outdoor skating surfaces. Mike is dedicated to seeing this unique product become a success throughout Canada and beyond.

Dean Jones, P. Geoph -- Resource Conservation Strategist

Dean Jones has been a Professional Geophysicist (P. Geoph) for 11 years. Dean has project management experience in numerous areas of interest, including: water conservation; sustainable development and construction; environmental management / stewardship (including remediation / reclamation); renewable energies; and energy efficiency.

Since 2010, Dean was a Principle Investigator in the Green Building Technologies office, renowned for the Discovery 5 House project, at SAIT Polytechnic. His role at SAIT involved working with entrepreneurs to develop business cases for green building products / technologies / services; apply for research funding; and carry out performance testing and monitoring. Dean has also participated in projects all over the world – both professionally and volunteering.

Dean is a recent addition to the RinkWater team, and will be assisting with the product’s marketing, development and future testing.
