The Alberta Association of Landscape Architects is excited to welcome members from across the province to Edmonton for two days of learning, networking, celebration, and exploration.

The AALA AGM Symposium has become much more than an Annual General Meeting. It is an opportunity to reconnect with colleagues, celebrate the outstanding work of our members, earn Continuing Education (CE/PDU) credits, and experience some of Edmonton's most notable landscape architecture projects.

Registration is complimentary for all AALA members thanks to the generous support of our sponsors.

 

Event Highlights:

Friday, September 25th

  • Walking Tours

Explore several of Downtown Edmonton's notable public spaces and landscape architecture projects through guided walking tours led by members of the profession.

  • Awards Night & Social

Join fellow members at Campio Brewing Co. for an evening of networking, great food, and celebration.

The evening includes:

  • AALA Awards Presentation
  • Recognition of Wild Rose, Life Member, and LAT Trailblazer Award recipients
  • Networking with colleagues from across Alberta
  • Food and refreshments

 

Saturday, September 26th

 

  • AGM Symposium Day

Hosted at the Edmonton Valley Zoo

Spend the day connecting with colleagues while participating in educational sessions and the Association's Annual General Meeting.

The symposium will include:

  • Professional Governance Act (PGA) implementation update (Virtual Option)
  • AALA Annual General Meeting (Virtual Option)
  • Keynote presentation (TBA)
  • Tabletop trade show featuring industry partners
  • Light Breakfast and Lunch Provided
  • Networking throughout the day
  • Edmonton Valley Zoo animal encounter

Saturday

8:30 AM – Registration & Light Snacks Breakfast + Trade Show

9:00 AM – Professional Governance Act (PGA) Update (Virtual Attendance Available)

11:00 AM – Keynote Presentation & Education Sessions

12:00 PM – Lunch

1:00 PM – AALA Annual General Meeting (Virtual Attendance Available)

2:30 PM - Flex Period (Small Group Sessions TBD)
