Bid Information
Project Description: | The work to be undertaken under the Contract involves but is not limited to: Construction of a new transit center at Mill Woods Town Center. The project includes a new transit center building, 19 bus bays, a covered pedestrian connector to the Valley Line LRT station, modifications to existing parking lots, underground utilities, and upgrading of adjacent roadways to accommodate bus traffic. |
Pre-Bid Meeting: | Bidders are invited to attend an optional bidders conference to be held on June 26 at 1:00PM at ISL Engineering and Land Services, 7909 51 Ave NW, Unit 100, Edmonton, AB T6E 5L9. This bidders conference is optional and will not impact bid acceptance. The City will not be responsible for communicating information discussed at the bidders conference to bidders who fail to attend. Notwithstanding that the City may provide oral answers to questions at the bidders conference, those answers shall not be considered final unless added to the Sourcing Event as addenda. No statement, consent, waiver, acceptance, approval, amendment or anything else said or done in the bidders conference by the City or any of its advisors, employees or representatives shall be binding on the City and cannot be relied upon in any way by bidders except when and only to the extent expressly confirmed in writing via addenda. |
Bid Security: | Bids must be accompanied by Bid Bond or Certified Cheque in the amount of the percent(10%) of the total Tener price. The successful bidder ill be required to furnish a Performance Bond equal to fifty percent (50%) of the Contract Sum. |
Additional Requirements: | Bidders must have valid C.O.R. appropriate to their industry jointly issued by the Government of Alberta and one of its certifying partners. Extra-provincial bidders must have certification equivalent to Alberta’s C.O.R. program. The City’s certification equivalency list may be obtained by contacting the City using the Ariba Message Board prior to the Close of Questions. |
