Opportunity Description:

The amendments to the Land Use Bylaw will allow the Development Authority to impose conditions on new subdivision and development applications with respect to FireSmart. Amendments will include the submission of a Wildfire Risk Assessment for lands, which are the subject of a subdivision or development application, where the subject lands are within or adjacent to the Wildland/Urban interface.

Further, amendments will include development standards regarding buffers within the Wildland/Urban interface.
