Please join us for the public launch of Building Equality in Architecture Prairies (BEA Prairies) in Winnipeg, on September 26th from 5pm to 7pm, at the Tower Atrium at the Forks (1Forks Market Road).
BEA Prairies is a new regional initiative to promote equity and diversity in city-building professions through advocacy, mentorship, and networking. BEA Prairies aims to support, celebrate, and connect women in architecture, landscape architecture, urban planning, the construction industry, and interior design. This new independent initiative will work with an intersectional approach to promote leadership, mentorship, and networking opportunities; host events and public lectures; and celebrate the multiplicity of voices, hands and minds who plan and design our communities.
In partnership with Building Equality in Architecture Toronto (BEAT) and BEAAtlantic, we will be working collaboratively to connect and support design and planning professionals across Canada. Through this regional initiative we will leverage opportunities for students and practitioners of all genders to connect with women leaders and mentors in our city-building professions in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta. Watch for more launch events in Saskatchewan and Alberta soon.
