Opportunity Description:
The City of Calgary is seeking applicants that can successfully implement environmental restoration projects to improve the resilience and biodiversity of the cityscape. Contractors and personnel assigned to the task are to be
familiar working within Environmentally Sensitive Areas (ESA’s) and possess expertise in ecological restoration.
ESA’s include special protection areas, lands along waterways and water bodies, native prairie, escarpments, and coulees and ravines. The desired work will include any and all necessary tasks performed by a qualified
restoration contracting firm to accomplish the approved restoration and maintenance of specified lands highlighted in this RFSO.
Due to the diverse nature of Landscape Restoration Services, this RFSO is divided into three different schedules as per below. A separate submission is
required for a response to each schedule your firm is responding to. Firms may respond to one, two, or three schedules. Each schedule will be evaluated and awarded separately.
Schedule A: Environmentally Sensitive Areas Restoration activities
Schedule B: Bio-engineering
Schedule C: Weed control
Selected Respondents will be invited to enter into the Master Agreement with The City for the duration of the Master Agreement Term.
The City intends to enter into the Master Agreement with a number of qualified Contractors who may be invited to participate in a second-stage Call-Up Process for the provision of the Work to The City, as and when required over the Master Agreement Term. This RFSO Process will not result in any commitment by The City to purchase any goods or services from any Respondent, and The City is under no obligation to proceed with any Call-Up Process for the procurement of the Work.
The City intends to enter into a Master Agreement with each of the Selected Respondents for a term of three (3) years (the “Master Agreement Term”).
