Bid Information

Project Description:

The Work to be undertaken under the Contract involves but is not limited to: Mobilization/Demobilization. The Contractor shall mobilize the workforce and Equipment necessary to complete the Work at the Work Site. The Contractor shall provide a mobilization plan to the COE for approval prior to mobilization. The Contractor, upon completion of the Work, shall demobilize the workforce and equipment from the Work Site. Provide all labour, supervision, survey, safety, consumable supplies, utilities, tools, transportation, equipment, Materials, etc. to complete and satisfactorily perform the Work including clean-up and inspection as defined in the drawings and specifications Site Preparation including removals and disposals, fine grading, etc as defined in the Drawings and Specifications. Stormwater updates including supply and installation of new manholes and catch basins, relocation and adjustments of existing manholes and catch basins, erosion control, etc. as defined in the Drawings and Specifications. Concrete Work including concrete curbs, pads, walks and special concrete structures, etc. as defined in the Drawings and Specifications. Earth Work including subgrade preparation and cement stabilized subgrade, supply and instal granular base course, hot mix asphalt concrete and signage and line painting, grind and overlay of asphalt, etc. as defined in the Drawings and Specifications. Electrical Work including supply and install new lights and bases c/w trenching and cabling and junction boxes,, tie-in, permits, vault lowering, removals of existing poles, base and luminaires, etc. as defined in the Drawings and Specifications. Landscaping Work including tree protection, install and supply topsoil c/w excavation and fine grading, sod, mulch, rip rap c/w heavy duty landscape duty, aluminum edger, shale, trees and shrubs c/w soil mix, backfill staking, etc. as defined in the Drawings and Specifications. Maintenance services as defined in the Drawings, Specifications and Contract.

Pre-Bid Meeting:

Bidders wishing to gain further understanding of the scope of the project are invited to attend an optional site meeting to be held on August 1, 2018 at; 2:00 PM - Kinsmen Sports Centre, 9100 Walterdale Hill, Edmonton, Alberta, There will be no other site meetings for this project. Attendance is NOT mandatory.

Bid Security:

Bids must be accompanied by Bid Bond or Certified Cheque in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total Tender price. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond equal to fifty percent (50%) of the Contract Sum.

Additional Requirements:

The City shall reject a Bid submitted by a Bidder who has not obtained a C.O.R. or S.E.C.O.R. appropriate to their industry issued by the Alberta Construction Safety Association or other industry association. Certification shall be evident by inclusion of the Bidder's name on the Alberta Construction Safety Association C.O.R. certification list current at the time of closing of this Tender or by the Bidder's submission of a copy of their C.O.R. or S.E.C.O.R.
