What is something that surprised you at the start of your career? or What is something that surprises you about being a Landscape Architectural Technologist?

One thing that surprised me at the start of my career was just the depth of information and endless oppurtunities to learn and grow, Ive been full time working in the industry for two years now and I feel like Im just scratching the surface - its exciting! Every day is different.

What skills do you feel are important to have as a Landscape Architectural Technologist?

Aside from the technical skills taught in school, I would say its important to be personable and unafraid to ask questions. Its important to have good problem solving skills, be creative, organized, driven and passionate about what you do!

What are you passionate about as a Landscape Architectural Technologist?

I'm passionate about designing outdoor spaces that are safe, comfortable, socially equitable and can be utilized in all four seasons.

What advice would you give a new Landscape Architectural Technologist?

Ask lots of questions from people who know more than you and surround yourself with people who inspire you to be better, work harder and foster your creativity.

What are your future goals?

I'd love to become a certified Arborist one day, possibly get a Horticulture degree. We will see!
