Landscape Architect Intern with Outland Design. I learned so much about drafting, design, project administration, team management... everything!
What is something that surprised you at the start of your career? or What is something that surprises you about being a Landscape Architect?
It surprises me how little the world at large knows about our profession.
What are some of your roles and responsibilities?
Team leadership, mentorship, project management, design, and construction administration.
What does a typical day look like for you?
Chatting with my team members, attending project meetings, design sketches and planting plans, and writing a few proposals.
What skills do you feel are important to have as a Landscape Architect?
Empathy towards the client and the environment, adaptability to change, strong moral grounding.
What are you passionate about as a Landscape Architect?
Environmental sustainability in design.
