Question and Answers

After graduation, what was the first position you had? How did that shape where you are now as a Landscape Architectural Technologist?

I began my career in greenhouse operations, gaining strong plant material knowledge and insight into what thrives in Alberta's climate.

What are some of your roles and responsibilities?

My typical responsibilities as an LAT include time management, team communication, producing technical drawings, and ensuring design standards are met.

What does a typical day look like for you?

I typically start my day with a coffee, reviewing emails and planning priorities. From there, my day includes meetings, with much of my time spent drafting project deliverables in CAD and Civil 3D.

Tell us about some of the exciting projects you have been a part of.

I have been part of a wide variety of projects, primarily in urban planning, commercial enhancement, civic projects, parks and recreation, and wayfinding. Projects I’m particularly proud of include the wayfinding & mapping initiatives for Ponoka and numerous commercial developments throughout Edmonton.
