Question and Answers

After graduation, what was the first position you had? How did that shape where you are now as a Landscape Architect?

I was a landscape designer at DTAH in Toronto. Being exposed to a multidisciplinary firm from the beginning of my career, and having an opportunity to work in so many different projects that went from planning and urban design studies, to landscape architecture projects. All of them very meaningful and important stepping stones in my professional development.

What is something that surprised you at the start of your career? or What is something that surprises you about being a Landscape Architect?

I continue to be surprised by how rich and varied is our practice, while only relying on a very simple and subtle design toolkit that has not changed that much for thousands of years.

What are some of your roles and responsibilities?

I lead the landscape architecture team globally, identifying opportunities and participating on projects and all stages of the design and implementation process.
