Each season and project brings it's own unique challenges. I aim to continue getting better at the work I do, learning and applying it to whatever comes next.

Question and Answers

After graduation, what was the first position you had? How did that shape where you are now as a Landscape Architect?

I worked at a small and well-established firm with an incredibly diverse portfolio of public and private work which afforded me amazing learning opportunities. I learned from the best, and I hope I carry some of that spark forward.

What skills do you feel are important to have as a Landscape Architect?

An artistic eye for design, technical acuity, and empathy.

What are you passionate about as a Landscape Architect?

Plants, flowers, textures, colours, the combinations and evolutions, the beauty and the wildlife they attract.

What advice would you give a new Landscape Architect?

We're in this journey together. New skills and lessons are always being learned, even by those in the most senior positions, it's what makes this field of work so endlessly engaging. Asking for opinions and sharing experience is the best part of working with like-minded people. No one knows everything or has the only right solution. Everyone brings something to the table and it's the collaboration that creates something better than you could have come up with on our own.
