As a Landscape Architectural Technologist, I believe it’s important to have a strong foundation in technical drafting, site planning, and planting design, along with the ability to create clear visualizations through 3D modeling and graphic production. It’s also essential to understand construction processes, collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders, and approach design with an open mindset. These skills help turn creative ideas into functional, meaningful designs.

What are you passionate about as a Landscape Architectural Technologist?

I’m passionate about designing outdoor spaces that not only look beautiful but also improve how people feel, move, and connect with their surroundings. As a Landscape Architectural Technologist, I find purpose in blending technical precision with creativity to bring ideas to life—whether it’s through thoughtful planting, detailed construction drawings, or sustainable design strategies.

What advice would you give a new Landscape Architectural Technologist?

My advice to new Landscape Architectural Technologist would be to stay curious and open to learning—both in the field and in the office. Take the time to understand how things are built, ask questions on site, and don’t be afraid to dive into the details. Trust your creative instincts and keep exploring how design can positively shape people’s experiences.
