Landscape Architectural Technologist / Landscape Designer (Intern)

Your Challenge

EXP Services Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Landscape Architectural Technologist / Landscape Designer (Intern) for our Western Canada team. Your Responsibilities

  • Preparing technical  working  drawings, including landscape plans, details and construction contract documents
  • Preparing graphics for design presentations, reports and public meetings
  • Conducting quantity assessments and opinion of probable cost estimates
  • Conducting site inventory, observations and construction contract administration
  • Assisting in preparation of landscape proposals
  • General office duties

The Skills, Knowledge and Abilities We Seek

  • Bachelor or Masters Degree in Landscape Architecture or Landscape Technology from an accredited post-secondary institution
  • Minimum three years’ professional and progressive working experience
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and demonstrated graphics excellence and proven technical expertise in the use of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and experience working with 3D rendering software an asset ( SketchUp, 3D Max, Lumion, GIS, BIM/Revit or Vectorworks)
  • Computer file management a must
  • Knowledge and experience in technical landscape design (grading, planting, construction specifications and detailing), construction detailing and contract documents
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Self -motivated, highly collaborative and a strong team player
  • A valid driver’s license with own vehicle and travel throughout Calgary and immediate region is required
  • Membership or eligibility with AALA
  • Additional Valued Skills:
    • Land F/X 
    • Construction experience
