Position Summary
Classic Landscapes is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our team. This position requires an individual who is dedicated, organized, and who demonstrates a high attention to detail and strong communication skills. Candidates must display an exceptional work ethic that is infectious to those they work with. This position is accountable for cost estimation, contract administration, project administration, client communications and contributing to Classic’s collaborative workplace. This is a technical position, and we value candidates with a background in landscape architecture and/or construction.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
• Analyze and complete quotes, tender/bid packages, RFQs, RFPs and pre-qualifications including:
o Detailed review of drawings, specifications, and contract terms
o Preparation of submittals and completion of forms
o Completion of quantity takeoffs
o Solicitation of pricing from subcontractors and suppliers
o Completion of accurate project cost estimates
o Communication with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Contract administration including:
o Review and preparation of issued contracts including required submittals
o Preparation of subcontract agreements
o Set up for contract and progress tracking per company processes
o Organization, preparation and tracking of contract files such as RFIs and change orders
• Project administration including:
o Supporting and maintaining communications with Construction Coordinators from project start to project closeout
o Attending and carrying out site visits, meetings, and inspections
o Tracking of job productivity and process compliance
o Completions of PPCs and invoicing
• Customer relations and client meetings
• Providing support to and collaborating with fellow team members
• Other duties relevant to the position that are assigned as required

Position Qualifications
• Diploma in Landscape Architectural Technology, two-year post-secondary diploma in a related/relevant field or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years of estimating experience
• Thorough knowledge in bid and proposal preparation, pricing, and closeout procedures
• Highly capable of understanding drawings and specifications with ability to analyze projects for risks
• Knowledgeable of local municipal construction standards and specifications
• Proficient computer skills and strong working knowledge of Office Suites
• Proficient AutoCAD skills and drafting experience is highly valued
• Previous experience with LMN software is an asset
• Willingness and ability to learn and become competent in a variety of software platforms
• Landscape construction experience is considered an asset

• Strong ability to work independently and on a team with minimal direction
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple assignments
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence
