Junior Construction Administrator

As NAK continues to grow, we are seeking a highly-motivated Junior Construction Administrator from a Civil Engineering, Architecture or Landscape Architecture background to assist our Contract Administration lead for our office in Calgary and our satellite office in Edmonton. In this position, you will be part of a team assisting with the completion of design, planning and construction administration services for a variety of landscape architectural projects. As a member of the NAK team, you will be engaged in a collaborative and supportive work structure within a unique architectural environment located in a great neighborhood. We are looking for:


Some of the responsibilities of the Contract Administration Coordinator Assistant include;

  • Assist oversight of projects under construction ensuring approved drawings and details are being adhered to
  • Preparation and administer approval of contracts, change orders, and requests for information (RFI)
  • Evaluate bids and assist in preparation of contracts
  • Quantity take-offs and project estimating
  • Understand and administer construction in accordance with City or Municipal Guidelines
  • Administer and adhere to Company safety policy for on site work
  • Perform detailed verification of site quantities for Contractor Invoice verification and review.
  • Review completed projects and prepare as-built drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Daily site inspections with record keeping and status updates



Qualifications of the Contract Administration Coordinator include;

  • Preferably CET, AT or LAT, with experience in civil, architectural or landscape construction or maintenance
  • Strong administrative skills with sharp attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • An understanding of bookkeeping & basic accounting principles
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word as well as AutoCAD is considered an asset
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to communicate with clients and contractors
  • Access to a car with a valid driver’s license is required.
