As a Senior Landscape Architect/Urban Designer, you’ll be part of our Urban Design Group, integrating our transportation projects into the fabric of the community and making the travel experience more enjoyable for all users. You will assist the Western Canada Market Lead by independently managing and leading company projects in the Western Canada region. You will lead and support the design process from concept to construction. You will be involved with all facets of design projects including stakeholder outreach and design charrettes, master planning, concept plans, demonstration projects, 3D modeling, and illustrative graphics.  You’ll be at the table leading discussions with our clients, planners, and engineers to take concept plans and make them reality through design development, detailing, specifications, and permitting. You will also be participating in business development and project pursuits and playing a key role in the firm’s quality initiatives. In an industry that is constantly changing, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering creative solutions to challenging projects.

You’ll need:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in urban design, landscape architecture, urban planning, or related design field
  • Landscape architecture license in Alberta or the ability to acquire one within one year
  • A minimum of 10 years of hands-on urban design or landscape architecture experience
  • At least 2 years serving in a project management role
  • Proficiency in graphic production in both 2D and 3D using SketchUp, V-Ray, and the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or MicroStation
  • Knowledge of ArcGIS is a plus
