About the Role

As a Landscape Architect/Architect with a passion for designing spaces in the public realm, you will work alongside a passionate, energetic and growing team on some of the most exciting projects in Canada.  Our team is currently working on a several high-profile and transformative projects in the Calgary region and across Canada.   If you want to have a positive influence on the urban character of Calgary and meaningfully shaping our city, then this is the place for you! 

 

 

Responsibilities

  • As a member of the Urban Design/Landscape Architecture/Planning team, you will be responsible for the full range of landscape and urban design project responsibilities including: 
    • Preparation of concept drawings through to contract documents, tender and contract administration services
    • Preparation of layout, grading, planting plans, and construction details
    • Preparation of cost estimates, quantity take-offs, site analysis and construction reviews
    • Proposal writing, community engagement, and client correspondence.

Professional Qualifications:

  • A graduate degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture or Urban Design
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in landscape architecture or designing spaces in the public realm, ideally in a consulting environment
  • Licensed member of the Alberta Association of Landscape Architects (AALA) or  Alberta Association of Architects (AAA) preferrred
  • Superior design and technical knowledge are required, with an understanding of the landscape architect’s role in a consulting environment
  • Experience in team and project management
  • Demonstrable experience in project development, design development, contract execution and proposal preparation
  • Self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently as part of a team
  • A strong desire to take part in finding creative solutions that are environmentally responsible and technically sound
