Junior or Intermediate Landscape Architect or Landscape Architectural Technologist

If you are interested in this broad range of opportunities and project diversity, we are seeking a driven and dedicated Junior or Intermediate Landscape Architect or Junior Landscape Architectural Technologist to join our office.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The successful candidate will become an integral part of our firm and will assist with taking a project from concept through to completion. Working both independently and as part of a close-knit project team, you will be responsible for contributing to all facets of project development including: pre-design assessments, team/client meetings, conceptual design and development; graphic renderings, detail design, budget estimating, project specifications, tender administration, and project management.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate would bring:

  • A Bachelor or Masters Degree in Landscape Architecture or a Diploma in Landscape Architectural Technology (or equivalent).
  • A minimum of three years of related professional experience.
  • Current membership in (or be eligible for membership with) the Alberta Association of Landscape Architects (AALA).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Microsoft Office and other related computer programs. (Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, 3D Max, Sketchup and Revit is considered an asset).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective time-management and consistency in meeting performance targets.
  • Detailed understanding of landscape architectural principles. • Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's licence and access to a vehicle. (Some travel will be required as part of this position).
