Lemay + Toker’s Landscape Architecture Studio in Calgary has an opportunity for a highly motivated and knowledgeable Landscape Architectural Technologist with experience in the private and public sector. The ideal candidate will be an organized individual who can work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment on a diverse range of projects and tasks that include: context-specific site analysis and data collection, conceptual design, design development, detailed design, preparation of construction documents, project management, cost estimating, client contact, and construction administration.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Confer with public and private sector clients, engineers, and building Architects on projects
  • Evaluate landscape design regulations and project-related requirements
  • Deliver landscape design layout of existing and proposed landscape features and complementary structures
  • Prepare graphic representations using Adobe Creative Suite and Revit
  • Prepare iterative landscape design plans with supporting graphics and cost estimates
  • Prepare complete sets of drawings and details for design approvals, issued for Tender, and issued for Construction
  • Inspect landscape and urban design work to ensure adherence to approved plans


  • Diploma in Landscape Architectural Technology from accredited post-secondary institution
  • High level of skills in Revit and standard Microsoft Office Suite software are required
  • Experience in Sketch-Up and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator are required)
  • 3-5 years directly related experience, preferably in a consulting environment
  • Experience in LandFX software, preferred but not required
  • Experience in ArcGIS software, preferred but not required
  • Collaborative and confident in meeting project expectations
  • Ability to innovatively represent the company and project team in a professional, engaging manner
