After graduation, what was the first position you had? How did that shape where you are now as a Student - LAT?
After graduating from the university of Guelph and Nait I worked in a greenhouse selling trees and helped inform customers on how to create a visually pleasing yard. Using trees from the greenhouse. This job helped me learn how certain trees grow within our climate in Alberta. This helps me make informed decisions on which trees to use when helping design spaces.
What is something that surprised you at the start of your career? or What is something that surprises you about being a Student - LAT?
One thing that surprised me the most at the start of my career was all the paperwork, that one has to go through in order for a design to be fully approved or accepted by cities.
What skills do you feel are important to have as a Student - LAT?
Some skills I feel are important to have as a student is to be persistent and manage your time wisely when it comes to projects.
